163. | Friends on the island

Guys!

Thank you for helping me shape my life!

Because ultimately, that’s what this island is all about. About people coming and going, and then somehow staying around me – or me around them. Like a quiet, warm evening on the beach that turned out to be beautiful without planning, just… happened.

When I set out here, I didn’t know who life would bring me. But now I see for sure: friendships here aren’t built slowly, but grow from a sudden smile, a motorbike ride together, a café we stopped at to escape the rain. Lightning fast, yet deep.

There’s something special about the fact that we all come from different places, yet we’re all looking for the same answer: how to live freely, honestly, and easily. And somehow we all help each other a little bit to find what might be harder for us individually.

Sunsets are more beautiful when you can share them with someone. Hard days are easier when you have someone to talk to. Good news is louder when there is someone who is really happy for you. Here on the island, it has somehow become natural.

That is why these pictures are important to me. Not just faces. Moments. Small proofs that I am in a good place. That good people have found me. That something is being built inside me…

Thank you for being a part of this journey.

For my own journey.

For the continuous reshaping of my life.

The island would be a beautiful place without you… but with you it is so much more!

As I looked back at these pictures, I realized something: friendship doesn’t “happen,” but is born.

Somewhere between the beach, the 7-Eleven, a random café, or a late-night bar.

From a gesture, a joke, an unexpected situation.

There are people with whom we laughed from the first minute as if we had known each other for a thousand years.

There are people with whom just a quick “hello” turned into a long conversation.

There are people with whom the photo was taken late at night, tired but still happy.

And there are people who are four-legged and yet can love better than many people.

As I see them together like this, these pictures are not “moments.” They are proof.

  • That I am in the right place.
  • That life has brought good people along with me.
  • That I am constantly evolving, being shaped, and that others have a role in this too – whether in the form of a smile, a hug, or a completely overwhelmed grimace.

Friendship here is not an expectation.

It is not a promise.

It is simply there.

And when it is there, somehow everything will be fine…
