41. | An uplifting opinion

Some systems’ recommendation algorithms are unpredictable for me. LinkedIn is one example. I don’t understand why it sends me emails about posts from my friends on the so-called professional Facebook.

Three days ago, I saw an email from a woman I met at a previous job. The title caught my attention, so I read the post. Here it is.

The courage to start over – no matter how old you are!

I recently attended an AI training. It was an exciting experience, but the question kept nagging at me: what does it mean to develop at an age when I already have a lot of experience behind me, but an unknown future ahead of me? The answer for me is openness.

Now that I’ve been in the field for years and have a solid professional experience, I increasingly feel that life is not about how old you are, but whether you are able to learn again when faced with new challenges.

The greatest gift we can receive is the ability to always start over, no matter where we are. Every single day is an opportunity to see the world with fresh eyes and apply our experiences in new ways.

I really like this summary. I think about life in a very similar way. There are so many valuable keywords in these sentences for me: exciting, development, experience, openness, ability, challenges, gift, new beginning, opportunity…

How did this become an uplifting opinion?

Synchronicity. It’s been a part of my everyday life for a while. In this case, however, I was involved in a triple conjunction. While reading this article, I was listening to a song about starting over.

What was, I can never start over
If it’s over, let it be gone forever
The code for starting over is lost
Or, if not, Then I must lose

I felt like I had to share this triple conjunction experience with the writer. Late at night, I wrote my thoughts on Messenger.

Hi ….!
I hope you are well and everything is fine with you!
Something very interesting happened to me in these minutes, that’s why I’m writing to you.
I’m listening to a very good song right now.
In the meantime, I’ve been working on a pretty serious project for 2.5 months now.
And then a LinkedIn message comes with your writing. I really liked it, that’s why I’m writing.
What I’m working on right now is exactly this topic. The three things happened at the same time.

I really liked the progression that I read in the three replies the next day. This morning I received this:

Hi Soma! I was surprised that you wrote thank you, I’m fine.
I believe in signs, it’s good that you pay attention to them. There are no coincidences.
This triple conjunction perhaps confirms that you are on the right track.
When I have time, I will read what you are working on.

Three days later I think, “Yes, exactly!” These connections show that I am on the right track. And the message hidden in this sentence is only dawning on me at this very moment, as I write these lines. This is why I have been so obsessed with this phenomenon called synchronicity lately. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

The following message arrived this afternoon:

Wow Soma! You are incredible. I don’t know you, but it’s as if I do. So far, I’ve read the opinions of Who am I and your friends. I smiled several times while reading what they think of you. It turns out that you are a good person!
I’ll study your page more, because I’m interested. I wish you strength for your dream, may it come true!

Finally, last night I received something that had a great impact on me:

Hi S:o)ma!

I fell under the influence of online-dentist.hu.

I rarely read such sincere feelings. It doesn’t surprise me that there are people like that, because I am like that too. I rather experience that they close themselves off from their own feelings because they are afraid of them. It’s rare that someone shares this with the world. You are brave.

I don’t even know what to write… yesterday I didn’t even know who you were, and now I’m writing you a letter. You wouldn’t believe how many similarities there are in our lives, whether in values or pains. And we are almost the same age I am exactly one year older than you, 3+2.

While reading your page, I remembered something my daughter told me after I recovered from cancer. She said she was proud of me because I am authentic. I live the way I speak. No matter what happens to me, I adapt to the situation and move forward with a smile. I always taught her that.

Congratulations on your blog, it is very inspiring! I hope many people will read it!

I will follow the new events.

Thank you!

And no! It wasn’t the praise that was uplifting. It was the person who gave it! Someone who has already fought some of their own terrible battles has such an opinion of me, well, that’s the value! We all struggle with ourselves. Almost all of our lives. But unfortunately, only a few of us manage to fight our way through our own obstacles, even partially.

I think that you can recognize someone who has already overcome their obstacles by not starting their answer with “I also suffered the same way, and I’ll tell you my story quickly!” No! Someone who has overcome it can listen to the other person. They will say something like: “Yes, I experienced this too and, like you, I learned this from it…”

And what could be the secret to someone being able to overcome difficulties. I think the secret is in these thoughts, but I won’t tell you my own solution now:

Hi! I’m glad my message reached you. It means that no matter when, where and what you do, if you can adapt to the circumstances, you will find your way. I felt that these thoughts would help you realize your dream. Although, as I read in your blog, you don’t need any confirmation, you have already made the decision. After experiencing several tragedies, I went to logotherapy for three years, and after that I became so wise.

I would be honored if you used my lines.
