I continue my journey along the Mekong. The outer journey and the inner story go hand in hand. I am in no hurry – yet I am exactly where I need to be.

It was not a day I would repeat, but it was one I would never miss.

Moderate gibbon sightings, adrenaline over the jungle, a tree house in the sky. But the strongest rope was not the wire, but the one stretched between us.

I think it was love at first sight. Ziplining over the jungle, tree houses in the canopy, the sound of gibbons at dawn. By the time you read this, I’ll be there.

In Laos, adults are more aloof, but the children’s openness took me back to the world of my own childhood for a short time.
